their new washer? I have no idea what to think of them. For a long time they looked cheaply build, but apparantly that's changing. Me the big MIELE fan is tempted to that new design.
In this video they put a Whirlpool to the test in compare to the Aqualtis. They loaded 1 kilo in both machines and let them do their job... Offcourse its a commercial for whirlpool but it's still remarkable, what do you think guys?

Look out : Bauknecht has drowned in a whirlpool

When our old G507 died we couldn't move the two cabinet-like panels on any new dishwasher, as new machines began to have the long door design (single panel).

A white DW didn't match with our green cabinets, so Stainless Steel was the solution. At those times Miele didn't make any DW with stainless steel door (except the 9KW - 3000 € commercial ones ...)

So we bought a SS door Bauknecht, as we have had a nice Philips that lasted 16 years. Strong door, 3 spray arms, fan drying, half load, delay timer : this Bauknecht looked built nearly as a Miele .... but the nightmares began soon : crazy board, flimsy racks, weak plastics, awful filter ...
To cut a long story short we moved it in the holiday house and bought a S.S AEG (Oeko-Favorit 6071 M)

Just a detail : the Philips cutlery basket (23 year old) has replaced my sister's Zanussi one (broken after 5 years ..)

Alright, maybe I'm more sensitive to things like songs than the average person. And I hate to use the stereotypical Hollywood phrase ("I love it! There's only one tiny thing I would change...") which is always followed by a million changes, leaving nearly nothing from the original...

...but don't those people in the Ad agency speak any English? And if so, are they counting on the "English Chic" for a population that doesn't speak it?

Because, really, not matter how pretty the cinematography is or how skillful the editing (notice how they chopped part of the song and it's kinda hard to tell unless you're paying attention, and no, I did not know this song before, I had to google the lyrics and find the youtube video).

I wonder if they didn't like their client (Whirlpool)? I don't know. You be the judge, here are the lyrics and the link to the YouTube video for the song, which, BTW, meshes more with the lyrics.

I quite liked the Aqualtis but I'm quite shocked at the figures!

If you look at the video the cycle time was 2h45 for 8kgs and 2h40 for 1kg!!

The only major drop was in water consumption, 8kg = 70l, 1kg = 45l... although to me that doesn't sound like the water levels were adjusted.
I'd imagine the 25l reduction, was purely less water that was absorbed by the smaller load at the beginning of the cycle and the start of each rinse, as opposed to a reduction in water levels / rinsing.

and even then water consumption for 1kg was still 45l... Most machines use that for a full 6kg load.

Saving resources and adapting to the load isn't much to ask now days! Especially from a well know name like Hotpoint. (Its not like its new technology only found on high end machines)
