Bendix 7128 Replaces Zanussi FLA1002W

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

All this Bendix action has caused me to commence research - last night produced the following in a very rough and ready format.

Be tidied up over the coming months.

The 7133 seems to be doing the business and your 7128 phil is just starting its latest stint in service.
Just like with the Liberators (my 1828/02 and Lee's 1851/03), you wait for years to see a machine and then two get put into service at the same time.

Hi Phil

Column C is for bodystyles and facia colours:

bold capital 'R' is for a confirmed round door machine.
lower case 'r' is for a guess at a round door.
bold capital 'S' is for square door.
lower case 's' is for a guess at a round door.

I am pretty sure that all the 'r' and 's' can be converted to bold and capital - its just I am going through my photo library and am capitalising stuff only once I have formally checked it.

The 'b' after the bodystyle letter is for facia colour, this one being for brown.
In due course there will be:

w - white
s - silver
s/b - silver and brown
pw - polar white (stolen from Hotpoint, but I dont know what Bendix's formal name was for the all white, late series machines).

Other codes will include:

com - compact
cds - condenser
and then any others I think of as I go along.

A load of evenings researching ahead!

Paul

this morning the door lock was playing up again, it wasn't locking but now its fixed, just the case of tightening a screw.
the machines again now singing and dancing like it should, we might be treating it to a new door seal as well next weekend so im going to do a bit of research untill then
here is the machine now finally under a worktop and i think it looks great

the doorseal

the doorseal is off the machine, the doorlock has arrived, the new doorseal should have arrived the other day but instead we got someone elses order, a door handle but not to fit my machine, the other type, the long vertical one.
tomorrow the old door lock is going to be replaced witht the new and the old doorseal has been repaired as a temporary untill the new one arrives so ill be refitting that aswell

this is now getting beyond a joke!

i thought all leaks were sealed last night, but this morning after a dark wash i cleaned the pump out and gave the machine a rinse out to help clean the pump, and guess what!...THERE WAS ANOTHER LEAK! this time from the front of the drain pump, have tried putting an extra rubber seal behind the original one to make it seal tighter and that didnt work, now i dont know what to do next...HELP!
