I think that machine was made around 1949 or 50 and I don't think many were made because you almost never see them.I have seen only 2 on this site and I have one of them.If anyone knows more than this I would love to hear.I would also like to know if anything like a gasket goes under the soaplid because mine does not have one.No strainer in the soaplid hole either.

Our neighbor across the street from us when I lived in New Jersey had a tombstone Bendix.
I used to love to sneak into her basement and watch that machine especially during the wash cycle with the suds splashing in the window.
A Very Cool Looking Machine.

Its a bolt down model, I wonder who the dealer was then, lots of Bendixes sold in my hometown of Lenoir NC, Was thru Gastonia a while back.

Hey Eddie,That sounds like something I would have done and still would today when it comes to watching a bendix get out of my way!I am sure you saw me in the video.Did you happen to open the soaplid and notice if there was anything covering the soap hole? Loved that soup man I must have more!

Mark, can you post more photos of this machine please? Like close ups of the controls, the Bendix sign on top, door open, etc?
