Thor, Bendix, Combomatic, Softline, etc...

IIRC from the time they were all from the same company. Sourced from Italy (Antonio Merloni?), or maybe some later came from Asia.

For the time they were what they were; no one else was offering "compact" front loaders besides the more expensive Asko, Miele, Creda, and maybe someone that have for gotten. Am not sure but maybe they all came from the same company or were related to Equator or Malber.

The stand alone washing machines or dryers (vented) were often not *that* bad. OTOH the combo W/D units were another matter. All were water cooled which presented all sorts of problems.

Think if one wants a front loading washing machine as a spare these units would do nicely. That is not something you'd run several loads per day (or week) through, but perhaps as a back-up or for maybe a second floor laundry area.

It's a Marconi
They made the Equators too until Atul ,the owner of Equator, sued them. The new EQs look like they're made by Electrolux.
