By special request here it is.
Preheat the oven to 325,grease and flour a tube pan.Have all ing. room temp.
2 sticks unsalted butter
1/2 cup Crisco
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup cocoa,
1 1/4 cups milk mixed with 1 tsp vanilla.
Cream Crisco and butter well, add sugar cream again at high speed at least 5 minutes, add eggs one at a time beating well between each,Sift dry ingredients together 3 times, add them alternately to creamed mixture at low speed, beginning and ending with flour, raise speed and beat 2 or 3 minutes, don't over do it, just until smooth and fluffy, pour into pan and bake 1 3/4 to 2 hours.

ending in flour....

Where cooking can be artful, baking is more of a science.  I believe where there is so much fat in this cake alternating and ending with dry ingredients  helps produce a more tender cake.

Feezor fan, here. Hadn't heard of her before she was lauded by AW members a couple of years ago. Procured two of her cookbooks from Amazon and found a gem: Her spaghetti sauce. Very Americanized---made with tomato paste; flavored with green bell pepper and Worcestershire---but it's actually very good in its own misguided way.

Thanks for posting her chocolate pound cake, Hans!
