Hi there. I have been on a nice trip. This time in Africa. Me and my family was in Zimbadve and other places. It was really hot and very cool too.

When i was there i had an cool and scary ecounter. One of these days we were walking along a dirt road in Zimbadve. We had heard about the dangerous snakes, The black Mamba.

I saw this huge big snake and asked a guide what kind of snake it was. He said it was a black mamba. I had my camera in hand and snapped some nice pictures.

Yes, i,m very close to the snake in the photos and i was friggin nervous, but wow, what an experince!!!!!!!!

Strange note: The mamba smelled like curry. WTF?

The closest i got to the snake. I paid attentation to the mamba. Any signs of aggression and i would be quickly out of there.

Yeah-----o.k., now, Sugar---- were you taking these photos from the roof of the tour bus----with a HUGE lens, maybe----'cause I KNOW I would be!
If not, you need a 'spankin for gettin that close!

Fabulous detail!

Hi Frederiksam,

I hope you saw some Tasmanian Tigers too, that had managed to escape Australia and swim across to South Africa.

It would appear that someone has taken an identical photo to yours back in 2007 it's amazing how similiar they are.

I'm assuming by Zimbadve you been Zimbabwe, I'm not quite sure why anyone would take the family there based on what Mugabe is doing to his own people, let alone White European intruders.

I'm glad you had a nice holiday and its great to see the rest of your happy snaps that you've taken in the attached Flickr album. Just a pity its 12 months ago.

Cheers

Nathan

There aren't too many animals I hate, except for those who might try to eat my koi. Oh, and the squirrels who try to harvest every almond off the tree long before they are even close to ripening (in the jelly stage).

I do fear some animals, and poisonous snakes are to be feared for good reason. As well as bears when out camping in a forest. Plus there have been some mountain lion attacks in California over the past few years.

"There is nothing on this earth I hate more than snakes."

Me too usually but there has to be something said about the snake that created this thread - it seems rather intelligent to be able to use the internet.

They can be rather educated animals or not as the case may be....

Hey brisnat81: That isnt the very same photo. It looks almost the same but not complete.

Oh by the way, long time we saw about your hoover keymatic 3224. How its going with it?

I know someone here in Karlskrona (thats where i live) that has some parts. He may have a working door seal to it. I can check it out if ya want. Maybe sell it on ebay or something.

Well

This picture you posted that you say is similar but not completlly is worthy of a good old "spot the difference" competition.

How did you manage to get exactly, ?????????????

THE SAME ROCKS
THE SAME FOLIAGE
THE SAME SNAKE>> THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME MARKINGS WTF!!!!
THE SNAKE IN THE SAME POSITION

Its about time you resigned from this sight I think. Your constant lies just about do it for me.

oh p.s. I think Brisnat81 was not seeking conversation about his Keymatic when he caught you out, nice of you to try and change subject.

LMFAO

Don't you just love nature-walks?

Today I decided it was time for some fresh air and some excercise. So I walked up the Empire State Building. From the outside, of course. It was murder in my red stiletto heels, so I flung them off. Sadly as they fell more than 100 stories(storys in UK) they pierced the scalp and head of a poor old nun. Now she is a Martyr, as the last thing she was heard to say was "OH JEEEEZUZ!" *SIGH* I guess she can honestly say in heaven she died from being poked.

Once I made it to the top, I was feeling fiesty so I had a seat on the huge TV antenna that sits atop the buildng. Now THAT was a nice ride! I'm FINALLY SATIETED. It was truly an electrifying experience.

Well my camera didn't like the high altitude, otherwise I'd post some pictures.

OMG Toggles you aint right! I know for me if I saw that snake there would have been an ear splitting girl like scream and you would have seen dust kicked up by my heels. There was a guy in Maine that had one of those boa snakes...I was waiting for my hotdogs at a place in Saco called Rapid Rays...the guy walked up with the boa around his neck and he had a brown leather coat on. At first glance I thought gee that a nice scarf he has on then I saw the head and tongue and I ran across the street when I saw it was a snake. I never moved so fast in my life. My friend that I was with couldnt understand what the deal was until I told her...she screamed and the guy wasnt fazed by it at all...he got a good laugh. I thought I was going to die.

Keymatic

I do agree that the picture is a bit smaller than yours, I'm sure if I was bothered I could find the original in another 5 minutes. Its amazing what typeing Black Mamba Pictures into Google can turn up.

The Keymatic is now working as a cold only machine, I dont have a hot wash keyplate, the keyplate I have is cold on all cycles. I havent put the cabinet back on as I'm trying to figure out how to wire in a heater trigger for the cycles. It seems that the pulsator has been disabled at some stage, so it functions as a standard FL washer. I'd prefer not to interfer with anything in that area, so as I dont disturb the carbon seal and run the risk of leakage.

Since you had a keymatic that caught fire and exploded maybe you could sell me your hotwater keyplate?

How is Zimbabwe, I'd be curious to know what it feels like to hold a $100,000,000,000 ZWD Banknote in your hand. Did you manage to have lunch with Robert Mugabe?

Where's Toggledo?

I was at the Empire State Building at the same time Toggles claimed he was. I held the camera over my head and took this photo. But I can't seem to spot Toggles in his red heels in it. Can you? Maybe he's on the dark side of the building, but I think not. I think he's a dirty rotten liar!

;-)

There is a small sign above the pictures on Flickr that says "All sizes". If you click on it you can download the bigger pictures.

Fredrik, you have been caught posting pictures from other people before, including pictures of a Keymatic that didn't belong to you. Your pictures of that snake aren't yours, you haven't been in that country and I just can't believe you have any parts of a Keymatic. Posting pictures of such parts won't help you because you probably have your harddrive full of pictures from other people.

Now listen carefully Fredrik! Please leave this club silently and don't let us hear ever again from you. Go back to your own miserable life and leave this group of wonderful people alone.

That's it, I'm done.

I don't know the history

of any faked picture postings but I will point out to our friends in Europe that our webmaster here, Robert, is the only person with the authority to tell someone to log off and not come back.

I respect the opinions of our friends in Europe but please leave governing the website to Robert.

Call on this Robert?

One of my colleuges here at work is going to an assingment in Africa-Botswana.As MST says--"LOOK OUT FOR SNAKES!"Excellent pictures of that mamba-they don't have a sense of humor. One of those bite first and discuss the matter later snakes.snakes and other reptiles can emit musks with diffrent odors when they are frightened or angry.Water mocossans can smell like watermelons.snapping turtles can have a strong smell.Found a small stray snapper in the pump room here-a coworker escorted him back outside on a shovel.no harm to turtle or worker.Just want the critters to stay outside of the house or building.
Surprized that mamba didn't try to chase or charge you-they are very aggressive and territorial animals.Thats what makes them so dangerous. Many snakes will flee-but mambas will hold their ground or charge.

~But I can't seem to spot Toggles in his red heels in it.

The Empire state buidlng was air-conditioned later in time. Unlike most sky-scrapers it has operable windows. A/C was accomplished by placing the water-cooled chillers on the lots (now mostly vacant and used for parking) surrounding the property. Ducting was run under somewhat lowered drop ceilings. [I worked in an office near the top for about 5 years]

But I digress. During my climb. It was so hot up there (or should I say down there?), that the mini-me Empire State Buildng was getting all warm and sweaty, and generating that smelly type of perpiration. So I tossed my panties down, only to be snatched-up (like my choice of adjectives? *LOL*)by the admiring crowd. OH THE CHEERS! I figured some sharp-shooter photographer with a telephoto lens would be trying to photograph my panites; so I ditched 'em. FOILED THEM ALL! YAY!

One of my fondest memories of my early childhood...

Was visiting the Empire State Building - it must have been around 1957. I was five or so. We made it to the top. Being nearsighted (as yet undiagnosed) I couldn't really see much, but took it on faith when told the people below "look like ants". Ironically, we were visiting my Aunt in the Village at the time. Yep, she was one of the original Beats, with a chair hanging by chains from the ceiling of their tiny living room to prove it.

Anywho, we made it to some booth inside the building - no idea what floor it was on - and made this vinyl 45 recording for "Daddy" who for some reason couldn't be with us. We hung onto it for years but Mom threw it out years later in one of her cleaning binges. I think we sang some song on it. I thought it sounded awful; adults seemed to think it was too cute.

And so it goes. Too cute might also be Toggaldo minus his pumps and his panties, stuck on top of the gorilla lure. Maybe he could do the Mambo at the same time?

You should be glad...

...that my grandmother wasn't with you! My Grandmother was a little Cherokee woman that absolutely hated snakes. She would have stomped it to death. Even if she was in a car, she would stop, get out, and stomp a snake to death without trying to run over it, since she was afraid that she would miss it!!! Iv'e seen her stomp copperheads, rattlers, and every other kind of snake these mountains produce. Mark
