Cartridge fuse

Designgeek:I would suggest replacing both fuses in your box-sounds like one of them blew from age--as these get old they can blow-this has happened to me many many times in tranmsitter sites and even at the one I work at now.If you have two fresh fuses in your box-you should be good to go.Just replace them with the values that you are using now.Yes its annoying when they go.I have found when they get old-they are more prone to blowing without an overload on the circuit. You may want to get another set to have on hand anyway as well as the ones you replace.
MrX: At the transmitter site I am at now-we have two transmitters that have a 400V-220V 3 phase supply in them-the supply runs the blowers, pumps, and Low voltage supplies in the transmitter. The main HV supplies are fed with three phase 4160V-of course these are at US 60Hz frequency. The 4160 is stepped down to the 400/220V.the transmitter has a built in transformer for that. The test equipments for these transmitters run from 220V as well-you can plug them into 220V outlets on the transmitter. These transmnitters were built in Germany and Switzerland.AEG Telefunken and Brown Boveri.Brown Boveri is now owned by a company called Thales. Its interesting to get parts and tubes from them.
