Jamestown,New York.Lucille Ball's home town

Not far from the house Where Lucille Ball grew up there's the old Blackstone washing machine factory. In August, they shut the town down to throw a massive birthday celibration for "The Queen of Comedy' Her B'Day is 08/17.They even have a huge vat full of grapes for anyone who dares to get in and act out her performance during their"Tour of Italy" episode.Lots of fun and laughter.Expensive thow.

Well, I was just wondering how common they are and if anyone here has the version where the top and inner tub is stainless steel. They seen to be very interesting to me. I'm thinking of maybe looking for one to add to my collection.

You're looking for a Blackstone model 350, manufactured in the 1950s. I have one, along with matching dryer; there are also a few floating around this club. Mine's not for sale. I do have all the parts and service information for Blackstones.

Hey, if you only want a stainless tub, I got a lot of those. Make great flower planters.

Stainless tub from the 350s weigh in at 70 lbs. due to cast iron base. Perhaps we can get Jetcone to tell us his interesting story about a tub and a pickup truck.

Here's a picture of the inside of a tub. Water climbs the tub and flows out the top edge as the tub spins.

Now that would be a challenge, building a 350 from scratch! I probably have enough parts, except for one thing--I don't have any spare cabinets. Those went to the junkyard.

In case anyone is interested, I have been sorting out all the Blackstone parts, so I can move everything into my cellar. If you need any parts, everything is currently in milk crates. Nothing would make me happier than having less stuff to move.
