Did any of you "blender crazies" see this Waring Blender on eBay that looks sort of like an oversized modern coffee table for Barbie's Dream House? Min bid is $5, $15 ship, about 3 hours left. Looks like a fun thing, course I don't know nothin bout no blenders.

That does....

....look incredibly different.

I'm not a blender collector, but a friend of mine collects Kenwoods....

So I bid on ebay yesterday and won this for him....

That Waring blender

is awesome!! I have signed several affadavits about not buying any more vintage appliances but I would risk getting that one!! I have a BH & G blender cookbook that has an illustration of that very machine. Hope you get it!!!

I`m not a blender collector either but couldn`t resist

Bringing a few home over the years.

The one on the left A waring was saved from an apartment building tear down this summer.

The one on the right A Wards caught my eye at an antique store back in 1995.

Ooooh, mint green. I have that same Waring in white with the grey base and jar guides, but the lid for mine is grey also, not the same white color as the housing.

I'm sort of a blender collector, but I've never seen anything like this from Waring. Hamilton Beach and Oster had numerous styles throughout the '60s and '70s but nothing as space-age looking as this. Thanks for sharing!
