Today, I received delivery on a new Amana french door refrigerator with chilled water inside on the left wall. To my surprise,it came with a Bosch full size front loader. The frig works fine. Real quiet. The washer fills, then goes counterclockwise four seconds then stops the rest of the minute. Then it goes the sme way again four seconds then stops. It drains, does the same four second deal then reverses. It roes this for three minutes then turns off. No spin. No reasonable reverse tumbling. Filter is clean, pump works, timer works, door lock works. Very quiet. Any ideas on what's wrong??

Mechanical timer or computer? Have the instructions? The cycle sounds like short prewash/soak but one way or another it needs a way to advance into the full cycle.

It's all pushbutton/ digital with a program dial. You may set it via time or temperat. The readout shows estimated cycle time. No matter which program I select, it fills, goes through the selected program as normal except, the drum tumbles only counterclockwise for four seconds, pauses for fifty six seconds, then goes counterclockwise another four seconds throughout the wash and rinse. No spin. The only time it turns clockwise is during the drainage of tub waters. Any ideas on trouble shooting to diagnose will be greatly appreciated. Mahalo in advance.

Bosch not spinning

Chuck - I am no repair tech, but dig hard to try and sort out things myself…just an initial scan of your plan via searching reveals that Bosch motors often do what yours does when the motors become faulty or more commonly, the motor just needs new brushes. If there's some black powder around the motor, you know the meaning, of course. Then the other possibility is the board…but if I were you and I had this, I'd look at the motor if it's not too hard to view…and go from there.

Right, any warranty?

Yes Logixx, it's a NEXXT model. Its physical shape is good. I did notice however a rust spot that is at a welding spot near the paddles. Barings are good. Very quiet operation. I have another one in storage with a faulty door lock. Its body is rusting and I need to strip it for parts.

Bosch Nexxt

I had a Bosch Nexxt set in Platinum. The washer was very water frugal, too much so imo, but the heater was spot on. I really liked the dryer, but cannot recall why especially.

Thanx Alex. At least the mother board isn't burned out. I need to set it to spin but there's no setting for drain and spin. I am wondering if the problem is either a capacitor or relay. Whichever way it begins the four second tumble,is the way it continues to go every sixty seconds. Yes , it tumbles but only the direction it's begun, not both. However, it has gone both ways. Just not in unison. Never saw this happen before. Otherwise,it works great and very quietly. It looks like they are no longer manufacturing the larger size models. I wonder why??
