Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Jon- Good to hear from you ! that must feel good that you got all your combos are going , there is not enough plugs for me as well.
Yes i hope to come there again i had a great time, and this time to come see you and your washers and your dog.
Did you find some wash yet?

Favorit- I first saw that washer in 1996-97 in a Frigidare literiture little did i know at the time that it was Electroluxe that distributed the washer and i saw it grow from there in many names and facia forms until today.

Greg-I saw that bucket first on this site i beleave it was in the introduction of Robert's GE washer in (see it wash) i was like what a big & cool ( all ) bucket. Then when i got to the laundromat in Boston with you guy's in mind before i got there ....There was the bucket when i came through the door how wierd is that ?
And that place is way cool !
And I never heard the Girbau's soft mounts spinning... just washing i alway's came to late it would be washing and had no time to stay for the spin cycle. I was alway's was interested in commercial laundry products.
I am alway's thinking of a cool way to have a nice laundromat and or washing service. But with thinking out of the box.
And not a reality at this time.

Melvin- They are soft mounts,I get the coin laundry mag and i alway's thought that Girbau machines where more advanced then wascomat on some of there machines. Can't wait to see what happens to your Primus washer ! I had and ad which i can't find on the white wascomat. And Greg & Melvin I have the same Qwestion about how they will hold up... I have seen them in shirt laundres and( Curly's ) wash , Dry, Fold, Where she caters to the university of pennsylvania students and makes a good living off them.
I talk to her every now and then she say's the wascomat electroluxe... washer does great for her, and saw that machine last mounth and it will be seven years now since she owned it.

Lee- Those Girbau's are soooo nice !
1. Does the little machine has the same flexability as the larger one, and how fast are both of the spin speeds on the units ?

2.The wash basket looks different on your models the smaller one is a beauty that basket is stunning ! Do you think the on primus machine is diffrent in the cyclenders then on coin op's ? It seem's i saw larger holes in the coin op's.

3. How is that washing action compared to wasco machines the baffles look like they have a higher left and holes then wasomat's washers ?

4.( Alliance is not happy camper's anymore )Can you tell us why ?

Laundress- Alliance i did not no about that they distrebuted the wascomat brand in the commercial line. Well we the members have talked about laundries own here for awhile...
Do you remember the extravagent laundromat that someone posted , it was in Germany and had all Miele washers and a beautiful wood floor and a nice detergent section, that was an awsome concept ?

Here are some machines i have collected in magizines and lit.
Below...My secound wascomat lit from a distributer i think on Emerald series.

Hear are some Continental's
Different pockets the one in the middle is a 75 pounder.
I have seen the 125 pound machine once and it took the operator to climp the latter to turn the unit on !

I have a secound generation model Gallery series.
still works after 10 yrs.
We have qwit a few peple here who owns them in front facia and rear control models i think they are a staple front for the 500 or 600 doller buyer they do well but would like to still have a higher water level for me and i like the control knob you have more fexibilty with it....the extration is not bad from the highest rpm they started with the first generation was at 650 rpm i was not impressed when i saw that in 1996 or 97...So then it became 800 , 850 , 950, Sears 1050rpm.
My machine is 850 rpm.
But is not hooked up at this time.

Off subject : Greg here is the dryer that you talk about on the Pro Kitchenaid dryer ... The American dryer corp.
They are fast drying.

Talked To A Rep

I signed up for additional information a few years back on the Girbau web site. A few days later, a rep called me at home to discuss the machines. He said that they have a softmount model they could install in my laundry room at home to use as a demo set. Of course, he was under the impression that I was prepared to invest in a laundromat in the area.

He mailed me a package full documentation, but I think it got discarded.

Now that I recall this conversation, I almost wish I had pursued having a set installed.

Great brochure collection, Darren - someday I want to get to the Clean Show to see all the offerings in person. I still want one of those ADC home-size dryers like were made for KA Pro-Line - next to a BOL DD Kenmore, just for the irony.

I ran across one of those All detergent buckets at an estate sale here but they wanted like $40 for it. Despite it being nearly mint condition, it was just way to much for something I had no space for.

Lee, is that small Continental sitting on a pedestal drawer? Hard or soft mount? I would love to have a big commercial washer & dryer in the garage... Keep searching that Craigslist...

Darren

The 20 lb machine has the same flexablity as the larger ones. the the extract on the larger ones is 100 for 368 g and 1120 on the smaller for the same.. We got right to our new ironer with the loads
The wash is far better than wascomat and spend less time doing it too. the Wash ribs are higher and force more water thru the load than other machines..
Alliance in this area are not happy campers as they Girbau is kicking their ass big time.. They have lost a lot of sales to Girbau that I know for sure .

Thanks lee....That flat ironer is incredible wow !
Greg thay are on a pedestal and they are soft mounts.
There will be a clean show coming up this year i will look and see when... i would like to go as well.
Malcolm it would be great to have that washer big bucks.
they are on sell from time to time.

Darren k.

There will be no clean show until 2011

They are every 2 years, This years was in New Orleans and I was not too pleased with it.

The man in the background in my washman he helps on flatwork when he can. I have told him several times handling 14 machines in the washroom is enough .

Think Wascomat's answer to Girbau was Clarius Control, but I think don't it is as versatile as Girbau's controls. The Emerald series Gen 5 and 6 Wascomats offered heaters and a steam input option, but they still aren't as versatile. Thanks Darren for the Girbau L10 series awesome expensive machines!! I will post a picture of the baffles of the primus later.
