Brimfield time again!

This week is the first Brimfield antiques show of the 2009 season!!! Rich and Ron went Tuesday, then came home to a nice pasta dinner. I wanted them to carb-load for Wednesday, when I'd be able to join them!

We really wanted Ron to get the sign at his feet to support the truth in advertising laws!

WOW! I saw this shortly after the Heart Of The Mart field opened. Nice! When the three of us were walking around after the initial romp, we threw around what we thought the asking price would be. The lowest was $3900. When Rich inquired, he was told that it worked, and the asking price was $1500!! NO, I didn't jump at it. I wanted to. I justified and justified, and we walked away. Then, I remembered we only had about a 24" passage from the downstairs kitchen to the rest of the downstairs. It measures 26 1/4" seep at counter height.

I'm gonna measure again. Maybe if I bend the tape a little............

OK. We got up at 4am. Walked Brimfield until after 3pm, and all had various degrees of sun exposure. Did that stop Rich and Ron from digging through the transfer station about 4:30? Hell no!

We're heading back on Saturday. If anyone else is planning on shopping Brimfield Saturday and would like to meet up, let us know! So far it's Rich and I, with Ron, and Bobby and Matt.

If you're not sure, but would like to meet up IF you go, give my cell a ring and maybe we can meet up. The number is 508-361-5717. We DO stop for lunch, and don't normally leave until about 2 or 3pm!

Here's another goodie we found, and I really fell for. Rich kind of gave me that extra little push to actually buy it (after negotiating, of course!). It isn't fully operational, but we'e making strides with it. We'll see!!

BTW- I forgot to take my camera Saturday (DAMN IT!!!!) so I won't have pix of some of the cool things we saw, nor of some of the goods the other boys bought. Hopefully they'll post theirs as well!

That's some great finds and looks like you guys had fun....wish I lived closer...would love to join you guys...I love to hit the thrift stores and the flea market...never know what you may find...for me it's usually when your not looking for something is when you find it...glad to hear you guys had an enjoyable time...thanks for the pics
