Bug Report #16 Some Big Changes

Hi everyone, I've been working on some big changes to the system. These changes will be seen by upgraded members. I'll go over each one separately.

The Latest Posts Icon will display the last 100 creates/replies in any of the five forums all together in on one index page. The color of each one represents the forum that its from...

The My Posts button will display all of the Active Posts (meaning they have not yet fallen off the list into the Archives) that you personally have either created or replied to...

When you now hover over the # of posts icon it will change to red so you can click on it. This will list all the last postings of any user. I do realize that the number of posts displayed on the thread and in the Search-a-lator are SLIGHTLY off, I will fix that later on. Go ahead try it on mine.

#4 is our shiny new personal message system. This is still in testing phase and I need your help. This will allow upgraded users to send other upgraded users personal messages.

To send any user a message, click on the little "E" icon next to their name in the postings.

To go into your inbox (which most likely will be empty as of yet) click on the MSG icon in the top navigation bar.

OK I some help testing the new messing system. Would some of you guys please sent me a personal message and I will respond to you. I suspect their will be some bugs in this yet that I need to work out.

Wow Robert, this is really neat! Taking an excursion here was FUN today! I'll send you an e-mail to test things. I LOVE the "recent posts" button and I think that will be really useful as time goes by.

E-mail intra-site should be great too, as we can't check personal e-mail from work anymore and this will be a better way for people to reach me, and vice versa.

THANKS for all you do and for the best-spent three years of my lifetime appliance hobby!

Just found one very minor bug in the mail-message system but that is fixed now.

It seems like its ready to be used. Go ahead, message your friends here, enjoy.

I'll be away from my desk for a bit but if you message me I should be able to respond within the hour.

In order to make messaging a user who might not have posted for a while easier, I now added the little email "E" icons to the member profile list...

Robert, this is great software! Are you considering selling it to other forums? It is very user friendly and quite powerful, better than the software on several other forums I visit.

I love the new messaging feature. I had long wished AW had one, but figured it was way too much work for Robert.

Robert, I swear, if there were awards for excellence in achievement for web sites (and maybe there are and if so you need to be nominated), you'd sweep all categories!
