according to the instructions, it can go through the roof......

and as far as outside, there are minimums of ground clearances, but there are instructions of how to raise the pipe for proper clearance.....and it can still stay close to the structure.....

best thing to do is ask your public utilities or plumbing supply house, if anyone would know, they would....they put together everything I would need for a quick install....

Well it's done and the Wi-fi connection does work after fiddling with the econet software this morning.
The young man from Jones Cooling and Heating would make your mouth water and drool like crazy! Eye candy with a nice smile and full of fun and life.
Anyway it took me about 30 minuets to completely flush the tank to get rid of brown sediments. So let's see if I can get 24 years out of this unit like the Kenmore!

I had a tour last Sun of the A.O. Smith water heater plant in Ashland City, TN.  Local girl from here is a cost accountant there.
