I went to "Bargain City" a used appliance yard downtown where I got a Calypso washer and dryer in gray for just $20.The electric dryer works great but the washer does not.I have never worked on one of these and have never even used one before.I ran it through a cycle and it did not fill correctly and then after I put in a little more water to get it to begin washing,it went through the washing but when it drained then went to spin, the water came out realitively fast but it did not spin fast and left about a quart of water in the tub.Any ideas what may be wrong?

There could be something clogged in the pump. I have heard of this happening to these washers. Also, they do not fill as a regular washer does, they just wet the clothes and recirculating water sprays on the clothes as they are "nutated" You really don't see any water in the tub. Hope this helps. I have seen them in action but have not come across any to fix yet.

to add to the above post, clothing has been known to work it's way underneath the wash plate especially small items. How is the rubber seal that surrounds the washplate. It should slightly contact the tub.

The washplate and rubber seal are intacked.I removed the top of the impeller to see if anything could have gone inside but it looked fine and I put it back together.
