K5 bowls and beaters as well as all attachments work with this. I am not crazy about mixers without governor controls but here it is.

I would snap that thing up!

I used to use a similar machine in a soil mechanics lab. And that was a lot harder duty than any kitchen.

It might need some TLC, but changing the grease in the gearcase and adjusting the paddle to bowl clearance is pretty simple.

for $46 that is a NICE price for such a commercial mixer-these have induction motors so yes, shifting speeds means shifting speeds in the transmission.Commercial chefs go for these.surprized it would show up on Goodwill.Remember several years ago Williams Somona was selling these for $2000!!The parts should be available at any Hobart dealer or restuarant supply store.

That Mixer...

Will be running 100 years from now. What a beautiful Vintage Hobart.

All Transmission and Motor. Probably would pull your arm out of your shoulder God forbid.

Someone should grab that beauty.

Nate... Grab this one. You'll never regret it. Or grab it for me. :)

I have an ancient Kitchen Aid

Model F and two model Gs, they have more power than you can use, You can run the meat grinder attachment on either of them for hours and they barely get warm!

Check the Pulse

The description says the mixer may need repair. If you change gears(speeds)without turning the mixer off and waiting for it to come to a complete stop you can render the machine functionless. Having worked in the industry my whole life I have seen Hobarts of every size, right down to the G with drive issues. Not saying this one needs help but is totally possible the gears are damaged. In the arena of Hobart and commercial parts and repair plan to bend over and back in because they are going to stick it to you.

turn the unit off at wait until it stops---This same problem with Milwaukee and Black&Decker core drill motors-they have a two speed shift on the transmission-have had to replace gears in their gearboxes when a user tried shifting speeds with the motor running or not allowing the motor and core bit to stop rotating.Seems like the same problem with those "G" type Hobart mixers. In one BD core drill motor-the WHOLE gearbox had to be replaced-was just a bunch of scrap metal and grease!Oh the fun of fixing power tools years ago-but the FUN part after the repair-you got to TRY the machine out!Was fun!
