Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

That looks more like a 1941 than a 1931.

The seller will own that fridge for quite some time to come.  It's expensive at even 10% of the asking price.

They are too attached to their "junk" to sell it.I had five Kirby Vacuum cleaners all had the extra attachments including the shampooer.I paid $7 ea for them and gave one away to a friend. The rest, I repaired and sold for $55 ea.They were all sold in one day. When I moved here, I found five more all were free. One of them is only 2 years old! It came with all the extras and only needed the belt adjusted, not replaced!!A local guy needed some food and asked if I could help him out. I made a full course meal and gave him all the left overs! He had the vac in back of his truck heading for the dump to get rid of it!!! He asked me if I had any food to spare and I asked him about the vac. When he said it was going to be dumped,I gladly took it off his truck. He just happened to stop by yesterday and is spending the night here with his Pitbull dog who looks deadly but does nothing but lick you to death.

Whether it's $1,000 or $1.00 or $0.10 all three price points are extreme, but only one is extremely bad.

Yeah, and why is the guy specifying a neighborhood in San Francisco when the machines are located nearly 50 miles south of there?

Then there's the twisted angle one can draw:  The machines are really in SF, Sam Jose is his hot boyfriend's name, and the seller is just bragging there at the end.

This Reminds Me....

....of the "antique" Morse (think Electrophonic) console stereo that pops up here on Craigslist from time to time.

It's one of the Morse cheapies from the mid-1960s, 5 inch speakers, record player (cheapie BSR no less) doesn't work and they figured out how to use the auxiliary inputs to plug an mp3 player cable into it.

The ad pops up from time to time, and they ask $250 for it. As if....I sold the exact same model at a yard sale for $10, and I think the buyer got gypped (and everything actually WORKED on mine). Not everything that is old is priceless. :)

Re: The $1000 Maytag wringer photos

Yeah those photos are pretty DARN poor... probably because they are photos OF PHOTOS! If you look carefully you can see the light reflection and the wavy-ness (is that a word?) of the paper they took the photo of.

I sent the seller a "What are you smoking?" e-mail. Well, not exactly like that, but I'll let you know if they reply.

Kitcher Aid Firdge

people just scare me when they has major spelling issues, or have no idea what they are talking about........I know we screw up here and there with words, and some we can't spell, but we can figure it out.....

going to this guys house would be like paddling into "Deliverance Country"......

What is a "ice maker foot fridge"?

and those pics....that steel panel on the back is the bomb!....what the hell does that do for you?

a shot of windex and a paper towel wouldn't hurt

he must ride the short bus!....lol

Yeah, they did a number on the description; kitcher Aid? If I was selling it I would have cleaned it a little, but not much. He could have at least wiped the finger prints off the front before the picture was taken. If I was giving the appliance away, I have a different set of rules that I apply. Being, I do nothing to the appliance, so if it is dirty, the person who wants it will have to rectify that issue, otherwise I'd have to charge a hefty amount.
