I want to transport my easy spin dryer to my cabin (75 miles, hour and 15 minutes) sea level to 6,250 feet

1. Can I transport it on it's side

2.  Will the tranny oil leak out of the vent/plug if I transport on side

3.  How do I replace the tranny oil (this easy has been in a barn for years)

4  What weight tranny oil do I use

Should I just rent a truck......should Dr. Bonbbay answer please zap the easy to Big Bear

Thanks

Rob, Palm Spring

P.S. This is why I'm leaving, the Mountain Fire now at 14,000 acres burned with ash raining down on Palm Springs the pool bottom is black with ash

I transported mine on its side with no problems. It went from where I found it to Rich's (Perc-o-prince) house (about a 40-minute ride), where it was unloaded, played with for a while. Then loaded back in my truck on its side and then another hour ride home to my house.

Desert Fires

My Aunt and Uncle lived in Moreno Valley, retired Air Force, and I lved out there for a while and you could see fires sometimes at night. They seemed so far away. They look awfully close to you.Hoe long has it been since Palm Springs has had this happen.Good Luck to you, dont wait too long to get out of there no house, car or material thing is worth it. HI Rob.

Waylaid by my mother today, I never got in touch with Tom Reilly, a local Easy expert in his 70's. He taught me how to replace the dual inlet pump, by tipping the machine back against the laundry tub. I can't remember if this was for easy access which it was when I tried it, or to keep the tranny fluid from spilling.

I THINK, he advised against letting an Easy lay down too long, but our fellow members have done it without incident. Maybe he meant overnight.

The fire that won't go out and can't be stopped is pretty scary. I wish you safe passage.

transmission oil..

I also would like to know how to change the transmission oil, mine leaked out when I worked on the pump!now I have to replace it.anyone maybe have a user manual for a model SCE?mine was stored away for 38 years, and I have recently found it. my great grandparents house burnt down in the early 70's, I don't know how but its one of a few items salvaged from the house after it burnt.since 1975 it was stored away with some of their other household items.
