I think he mentioned that he already has that one, and now has the matching small Dormey.

I love my little Dormey.  It's white, not chrome, but it has bumped my super compact Oster Knee Action out of the top spot among my hand mixers.  Thanks again, Nate!

Lawrence:

That's the Silver Chef, which was the TOL. Extremely nice machine!

What I have for a stand mixer (thanks to mixfinder Kelly and turquoisedude Paul!) is a Princess, which was the TOL of the MOL, if that makes sense. I usually opt for TOL appliances, but in this single instance, I wanted the Princess instead of the Chef, because my mom had the white version of the Princess, known as the Mixwell, when I was a kid. The Mixwell/Princess design was more stylistically up-to-date than the Silver Chef in 1957, when the Mixwell/Princess was introduced, and it has some sentimental value to me, as well. Below is a photo of my Princess, as photographed by Ben (swestoyz).

Man, you've got a good eye and a good memory!

And Here's....

....The Princess's little brother, the Silver Dormey that I just acquired. This design goes back to 1952, though only in white; colors and the Silver Dormey followed later. Nice-looking family, huh?

Sandy,

I think I may have to come to Iowa sometime to see everything I've helped you "find".

I don't care, my paternal grandparents house is a tract house also, built in 1956/57 by my grandpa and dad.  They bought a vacated 1 room schoolhouse with a sealed bid, and salvaged all the lumber & maple flooring to build the house with.  You'd be surprised how much one of those little houses can hold.
