Nope, it's not the same as the Thompson, that one is regular size.
I'd get one if it were available for 120 volts 60 hz. Or is there a modification one could do to get it to work on US power?

BTW, Laundry Alternative now sells a countertop mini-spinner with a clear housing, that does a 2-1/2# load, for $69.95. Team that up with one of those "blender-style" countertop washers and you have a pretty complete wash/dry system for tiny apartments or long road trips. Or if you're on really limited AC power, team it up with one of those "revolving cookie-jar" style hand cranked "wonder wash" things.
