It is the "speed Heat " one.... I remember reading on this forum about one of the switches that gave problems and most were replaced. But I can't remember which one y'all particularly mentioned
We have an electric stove repair manual from a while back showing diff switches. But haven't got onto it yet showing Hubby the book that I bought yrs ago from an appliance parts distributor.
the original ? that came with the used Flair of course has "loop connections" on the back of switch. The other Flair bought for parts has "spade" connections.
Its been months since he has messed with either. so is he wasting his time working on such.
Please explain or put link here PLEASE showing mentioning etc of it. this is on the larger Flair unit we bought sev yrs ago. Hubby favorite cooking stove
Thanks y'all appreciate all. your all help.

They can, but it involves finding the right parts, either original  or aftermarket and a willingness to accept the loss of the Speed Heat feature. If the original Speed Heat element is not destroyed, and you can find a 120 switch for it, you can put it back in service, but its speeding days are over and it might not last much longer after the stresses of its previous service. You can look for a 120 volt element, which is what the Speed heat element was, and and 120 volt infinite switch to make it work for probably the life of the range since the speeding will no longer be possible, but that was what put so much stress on the switch and the element. Or you can go with a 6 inch 240 volt element (which might be easier to find) and a 240 volt infinite switch.  You would gain nothing in speed, but might have it fixed faster..
