We don't always here stories about good kids, so I thought you might want to see our own Westytoploader (complete with tie, no less) as he was being inducted into the National Honor Society.

Not only is he becoming very knowledgeable about appliances, he is a good student, holds a part-time job, and is active in extracurricular activities.

I'm a proud mom! Say YAY for good kids! :-D

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

When I was in JR. High School, I was in the National Junior Honor Society....then in High School, I went on to the National Honor Society. When I graduated, I kept my NJHS & NHS patches. When my niece graduated from Georgia Tech as a Biochemical Engineer (with Honors), I gave her my patches which she sewed onto a sweater that she still wears. We are both now in the same chapter of MENSA. Just one more thing to keep a family close. Hopefully your son will be able to do the same. We Roanoker's are VERY proud of him. I'm sure you're VERY proud too!!! Mark

Applause, applause, applause!

Congratulations to Austin, Venus and Mr. Venus! Way to go guy and the pressure only builds more now--just kidding.

With a Mom like Venus and a name like Venus, should we have expected any less? Hard to believe but I was NHS kid myself from '67-'69, (my God I'm old), and look how great I turned out?

Continued success and at the next Washin or Vacuum convention, remind me to get a bottle of champagne to open. Keep up the good work.

Charlie

A gr8t big Texas, HELL YEAH!

WTG...for Austin!
Venus, you and hubby must be so proud, I know I would be.
Congrates!!!
Would you like to have my 14 y.o. daughter to tutor? LMAO, j/k! She's a handful! I wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy, hehe.
Charlie, instead of champagne, Hurricanes would be more appropriate (not to say get ya drunk faster, hehehe).
I know, that was in "bad taste"....sorry

Hauls (_Y_) outta here b4 she gets :slapped:

PS: Venus-get that boy something "special" for doing such a bang up job!!! :-)

Oh no, this is what happens when I'm not around...like she really had to post about it! There are other digital photos, but unfortunately my dad cut out most of the girls (including one VIP right at the edge...) from those. We'll have to see how the 35mm's turned out, and if they're decent I'll scan them!

Charlie, thanks, maybe you could convince her that a lime-green DAM (my first non-self-propelled model) and a Metro (Metropolitan Vacuum, Suffern, NY) "Turbotronic" (with woodgrain finish no less) would make some nice gifts! ;-)

All kidding aside, it was a very nice event and I was glad to be one of the selected inductees. Thanks everyone; now we'll see how I last...;-)

Congrats Austin!

Way to go, I was not NHS material in high school, but I did make Dean's list a few times in college!
Which lime green DAM are you interested in as there were two. The Spring Green model 1130, or the bali green model 1149?

Jeff
