It has been silent about the exploding Candy/Hoover washers for a while. It has however happened once again. Tgis time, a toploader. I have recorded from a german program and uploaded on Youtube.

What's causing them to do that? You'd think they'd have a mass recall.
Geez!!Whats with all of this-Hoover-Candy machines that crush and scrap themselves-maybe that appliance builder needs to recall machines and look into this----Overspeed spin sensors not working?out of balance sensors not working?or is it users?are they overloading the machines?I don't think I would want my Bathroom,Kitchen,or laundryroom littered with plastic and metal schrapnal.and probably a wet floor too-and ruined clothes.

Our new Hoover washer dryer is hopeless at balancing. It's sometimes so bad that the outer drum will bang against the cabinet. A repairman came from Hoover to examine it and said there was noting wrong with it, even though bits of the concrete counterweight had broke off.
I know when we were looking about a year ago for a new washer, I did notice that the drum seam in the Candy/Hoover machines were very sharp and uneven, but ours seems pretty smooth and blunt.

This is obviously a huge concern, I don't speak enough German to confirm what was said in the report but at least it looks like nobody got hurt.
I was slightly amused, however, by the end of the video when the husband is peering thoughtfully at a new Miele, possibly thinking `wonder if this one will be any better' - errrr YEAH!!

my other cousin has a candy grando washing machine and he lothes it he as replaced the fuse in the plug countless times and the lifter bar (paddle) has fallen off so you have got to be careful with thing that have straps otherwise it will shred the load up and it is only 12 months old.

of the fact that the hunger of 'the cheapest' washer is not how you consume them. When my father had his shop, people would complain every time about the high price of their glasses. But they forgot that a clear sight is priceless and glasses are used for a longer period a day then there car/laptop...
I would say... just save some money to buy some quality rather then choose the cheapest one so you can use the money that's left for the fifth 5days vacantion a year
