Ciao guys!
I recently got my eyes on this old Candy Aquamatic 3 machine, saw it in an old (and I mean to the point ot abandon!) summer house near the sea.
There is the possibility to grab it and take it home with me!
Extensive restoring is required as rust is eating it alive but at least it works nicely and is silent (so bearings and motor are good!)

I like the fact that is the model with the brown fascia and chrome door before they changed the style to white on white on the same Aquamatic 3 line! So this is a shrinked visual match companion to my 16WD Alisè/Turbomatic Washer-Dryer!

Do you know where I can find a complete user manual for it?!
On the net I only found an incomplete one with a couple of pages in Italian and the rest in French.

I realy like it Gabriele!!!
Questi lavatrici erano veramente belli!!!!
Sei molto fortunato!!!!!!!!!

Make sure they will give it to you!!!!!!!!
As long as it "lived" close to the sea, I am sure there was a lot of humidity and salty environment.

Even if they will not give it to you now,
go and give it a good wash, that helps, maybe a bit of vaseline on ruber parts as well... Who knows? Maybe they will give it to you the next time that you will go.

Try to do your best!!!!

Aquamatic 3

Hi! I've got the later white version of the Aquamatic 3! It was my great grans. It's sadly broken and needs a motor and a door catch. :( I'm keeping it tho, still 'sort of' works. I love mine to pieces, would buy a motor but at the moment, I've got other thins to save up for.

Here's mine!

Chris.

Nice looking but totally shit at washing and spinning.

I can see why they were not that popular over here considering UK were producing full size capacity in slim machines that didnt take up that much more floor space than these awful things. Still what can you say for something made cheaply in Italy that was sold for a ridiculous price.

Said that, apparently the UK has lost the game and all you have is "cheaply in Italy that was sold for a ridiculous price".

And again, no, the Aquamatics were the best built machines and is not unusual, like all the machines of the era to find them in good working order after 30 or more years.

Uk lost out

Maybe so but its only a matter if time until china takes over from italy as you well know.

As for cheap, they may weigh alot but considering the poor wash and spin and the fact that inside components were not very well finished with sharp edges, poor servicing ability and lack of powder drawer and programmes hardly constitutes the retail price that these commanded when a slimline servis was cheaper and offered more.

Sorry I can't be positive about your machine but they really are shit compared to other alternatives of the time.
