I've searched all over the web to try to figure out how to get this thing to budge. Here's what I've tried:
1) Banging on it with a flathead screwdriver and hammer (no movement).
2) Adjustable plumber's wrench (might have worked but the handle is too long to get at it properly).
3) Non-adjustable plumber's wrench, both with muscle power and banging it with a hammer.
I applied tons of WD-40 while trying with the non-adjustable plumber's wrench to no avail. The thing just won't move!
Although I'm a wimp, I had three buff teenage boys try to get it to move too and they couldn't, either. My husband's on the other side of the planet on business, but the kids are stronger than he is anyway.
Any hints? I have a cold chisel, but I'm afraid that if I use that I'll just break the little square cut-outs.
Thanks for any suggestions.
