Got to 'play' with a Carocelle this weekend....Was not that impressed......any feedback????

Seems very hard to load....
And the silverware in the middle is a joke.
Guess there will be no patent pending 'Bob loads' in this one.

Maybe Cascade Complete liquid or a Cascade pouch might be the thing.
I hope you didn't pay anything approaching manufacturer's suggested retail price for it.
For dishwashers like this to be effective, you really need fire-hose water pressure (which I don't have,) and blisteringly hot water (which I can get.)

I think the liquid dishwasher detergents might be way too 'thick' for the dispenser.
I got this one on Ebay for a friend a few months back. He used it in the office to just wash coffee cups, but, changed positions, so he could no longer use it in his new enviornment.

Trying to clean dishes in one of those can use more water than a regular dishwasher for poorer results, but if you had really hot water and good pressure, mixing some gel DW detergent with some water to thin it down a bit and puting it in the dispenser area might make for some interesting cleaning tests. If you didn't have such hot water, it would be fun to try a liquid laundry detergent with enzymes. If it filled up with suds, you could just shut off the water and let it soak a while. I don't think I remember the infomercial for this showing stemware in the bottom rack.
I think that for almost any one of us, it would have been one of our favorite toys ever if we could have had it by about 6 to 8 years of age.

Another of the mysteries of childhood that we can now indulge! It looks fun to watch and play with - but I'm sure expectations should be "loaded properly" too! Thanks for posting pics.

Fun but no thanks. A Danby countertop electric dw would be my choice if I didn't have space for a builtin or portable. How much do those Carocelles cost anyways ?
They have gone up! Must be the increase in oil prices for making polyethylene. I wonder if Ethylene has ever been used as a lady's name. I can remember hearing my father instruct gas station attendants to Fill'er up with Ethyl" or Fill'er up with Hi Test."

I think they were around $25 back then. As I recall you used regular liquid dishwasher detergent as anything else would be too thick and wouldn't go through the rubber hose. It really didn't do that well but was fun to watch. It might be fun to have one in a bar in your reck room or somthing to wash glasses but anything else really doesn't get clean unless they have improved them some.
