My Late Uncle got this from a lady at work before he retired, its different and very good..
3 sticks butter
1-8oz pkg cream cheese
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1-packet of Dream Whip powder
pinch salt
2 tsp vanilla.
3 cups plain flour sifted before measuring.

All ing. at room temperature.
Cream well butter, cream cheese, sugar and Dream Whip powder, add vanilla and salt, add eggs 1 at a time , beat well, blend in flour, mix well, bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hours or until tests done.

Haven't used Dream Whip in years!  My grandmother always liked it because it was "cheaper than Cool Whip" and travels better.  They lived in a small town and driving time had to be figured into cold and frozen purchases.

Who doesn't love pound cake?  I'm going to make this for the weekend, Hans, can't wait to try it!

Chachp  go to on of your local  Harp's foods in your area and look for the Always Save boxes of the whipped toping.  It is just like the Dream whip.  Really good and is less then 0.50 per box.    One box is equal to one envelope of Dream Whip.

Blueberry Yum Yum

That pound cake sounds good. I love cream cheese..And blueberry yum yum - I forgot ALL about that! My aunt made some and it was one of the best desserts E V E R! But that was a LONG time ago. I remember it did have dream whip (I think), but also cream cheese I believe, blueberries and graham cracker crumbs or something like that. I need to get the recipe because based on what I have just looked at online, none of it looks like her version of it.
