That surprises even me.

Be aware, though, that the DNC'ers will point out that AOL users tend to skew Republican (I have no idea if that is true or not).

Hey! Iowa went Blue!

But yes, on-line polls are notoriously inaccurate. They can be manipulated by either or both sides to severely affect results.

Also, keep in mind that we are several months out from the conventions - most people haven't even started to think about who they are going to vote for. Even the people who are following the elections can and will change their minds as to whom they support.

Well, I just don't think the poll shown is accurate at all. I'm an independent, usually vote Republican, but will vote Democrat (or better yet, Ron Paul) in this coming election and I've never seen so many people that are typically independent and like me, typically vote Republican, say they are voting for O'Bama. Both of our parties are just as much to blame for our mess, we really don't have much of a choice when a Dem or Repub are the only choice quite frankly.
Just my 2-c's worth.

Oh, I agree - if it were a choice between a Liberal Republican or a Marxist Democrat, I would definitely vote for the Liberal Republican.

Thank God we don't have to make a choice like that. But then again, "Liberal Republican" and "Marxist Democrat" are pretty much political contradictions, aren't they? :-)
