Cool and useful "catches"At the yard sales here---All I can find is baby clothes, broken baby and kids toys and furniture.Nothing any good.If anyone needs the baby stuff bring your truck and come out this way!

Does the art deco tray say "Sunbeam" on it anywhere? It looks like the tray for the creamer and sugar bowl. If you got it for $.50 you got it for a steal!

I love the quesadilla maker, I have one and use it all the time.

Sigh.

Y'all must be living right.
That's a great haul!

That the guy didn't know what a percolator is, does not surprise me. Not after my last trip to the thrift shop here in Munich. Saw a wall clock with a transistorized movement from the earliest '60s. No leaps or bounds, just a continuous if jerky movement. On sale for 50cents, cause "broken" and "runs non-stop".

Yeah, and in less than a minute, they could have seen it runs non-stop on time...

It was a great day yesterday to be seeking-out, snatching and hauling. The Weather Channel confrimed a high of 91*F (32.8*C) in central Connecticut yesterday. That is extremely high for this time of year considering just a few days ago the heat was on at night when temps were in the mid 40's (7*C).

Here is the temperature this morning, also riduculously high for 6:45 am. (We are an hour behind Central Time a/k/a AW.org time!

Love that red "ready" pilot light!

Having morning coffee out of the disinfected and de-greased Sunbeam percolator.

Oy that camera is unforgiving...there is more "VROMA" (Gr.
a/k/a SCHMUTZ (Yiddish).. "MUCK" visible. And they laugh when I whip out my *COUGH* toothpick / Q-tip stash.........

The Gadget and I had a difference of opinion as to how the dial that determines coffee-strength works. Please chime-in and settle it for us! Thanks!

YAY!!!

The tray is for the Sunbeam Coffeemaster. It was also sold, with a glass insert, for the Sunbeam T-9 toaster. It also was sold with the earliest Sunbeam Mod A Coffeemaster. I think I see that the tray has a black stripe which makes it the earlier one . Later ones didn't have the stripe.

Nice finds!!!

Sorry, no pics but,

I saw a homemade sign advertising an estate sale so I thought "what the hell". I picked up a hardly used Corning 10 cup electric percolator "Spice of Life" pattern w/ the trivet, and 5 Firestone Christmas LP's. The perc was marked $12.50 by the people running the sale, got it for $1, the records were marked $1, got them for $.50 each. It was about 3:30pm when I got there, and the sale ended at 5pm, thus the deals. Tested the perc and it works great, will give it a wash in the dw before using.

Does the art deco tray say "Sunbeam" on it anywher

I have 5 or 6 of these trays and none are marked with a name. They may have had the trays made by a different maker? I know that they are the correct as I have many ads and Sunbeam catalogues that show the tray with the set.

I will try to post a few pics later on!

...how the dial that determines coffee-strength works.

Doesn't it just perk longer for stronger, and for a shorter amount of time for weak, I mean mild?

That's what I always thought.

Joe

WTF? Around here it's all toys and baby clothes!!!

GREAT finds!!! I wish we had good yard sales around here!!!

Check that "art deco tray" you bought. I don't pay a lot of attention to these, but I think Rich has bought these as Sunbeam trays (unmarked, but I think they're in the catalog).
