I am considering getting a Chambers A model stove (Prewar). I would like to know a few things about the A model that I have not been able to learn by my research thus far.
Chambers made 4 very similar models (A, B, C, and D). The C models are the most common, with the B models next most common. A models look very similar, but are pretty uncommon. The A models have black handles as opposed to chrome and there are a few other differences too.
The A models lack the vent/opening above the pilot light. Do the A models have pilots, or do the burners have to be lit with a match? Also, does the oven have to be match lit?
I would really prefer a B model, but this one is pretty affordable and it is in working condition.
Who knows their Chambers?
Dave
