I see there was a subject on Bed Linens, so why not have one on towels, so how often do you change your towel? After each use, second use, once a week, etc.
I use a fresh towel all the time:)
Tks everyone

I use a fresh towel every time for a few reasons!!!

1) Reusing a towel. Eww. Even if you're "clean" you're never completely clean, it's just not possible. Rubbing your face with the same towel you rubbed on your ass the day before is just... Eww.

2) They are never anywhere NEAR as soft the second time around. I have to have a soft towel!

3) Towels are my favorite thing to wash so I dirty them as quickly as possible!

Clean towel after every shower. Bathroom and kitchen hand towels changed every day. I also only use a tea towel once and dish cloths are changed at least once a day.

Daily Bath

and new bath towel, hand towel and face cloth daily also. New kitchen linen at least once a day. I love doing laundry and hate soiled laundry. Maybe I just have a bad case of OCD. LOL

I change once a week as with my sheets.

Because #1 I don't have enough towels to change daily (OK, maybe I do, but still) and #2 seems like such a waste of resources to me plus #3 I'm not a germaphobe so it's a non-issue for me.

every day

Every shower I get a new towel.  Your skin constantly sheds dry cells that you cannot see.  I change the hand drying towel and the kitchen wash rag and towel daily as well.  Laundry doesn't bother me so I don't really care how many towels I go through.

I'm with Kevin and Jerrod every few days or week is fine for me.  When I get out of the shower I'm as clean as I'm going to get, it's all downhill from there.  Any decent bodywash or soap will kill most of the germs so I'm not at all concerned with that.  As a society I think we are getting too obsessed with germs to our detriment- we are developing super germs that are immune to the stuff we use.

All those Maytags and dirty towels! Eherm! Get with it mister!

Why you must have a Maytag for like every towel. I'm sure someone (ahem) could interject about how maybe 1 towel is properly loaded for a Maytag

In search of a quality brick for sure!

Fresh bath towel and washcloth everyday.  Kitchen and bathroom hand towels once a week, and dishcloth and dish towel once a week.  The  dish towel and kitchen hand towel don't get used as much as the dishcloth which is used to mainly wipe up countertops w/ a dash of washing up liquid.  Most all kitchen items go in the dishwasher, therefore the lack of use in regards to the dish towel.

I wait until they can stand up on their own then I know its time to change them.....

JUST KIDDING.....

Not a germ o phobe either so it's usually twice a week, more often in the humid months. If you've done a good job in the shower, what's going to get on your towel that's so horrible? If your afraid of some dead skin cells, you would never sleep in your bed, sit on your sofa, wear your bathrobe more than once, go any place that's public for that matter. Its just something you should not let your mind explore.

Please explain...Louis

"The first day one side, the second day the other side."

Are the sides of your bath towels color coded?
