VINTAGE GE STAINLESS STEEL OVEN AND 4-BURNER COOKTOP MUST SEE! 1960'S? - ...$150

There were no pics so I e-mailed and asked for them. This is his response to me:

I just pulled them out so they are a bit dusty and dirty but there are no scratches or dents! I have owned them, with the condo, for 12 years, now, and I barely used them because this is my "beach" front condo, a secondary place on the lakefront. Very secondary, I haven't stayed there once in the last two years as I live in another city residence and I live in NYC, too! I always loved these GE's units, especially the oven... it is in great looking shape and it heats up to 400' in five minutes! The clock, alarms, timers, and all the lights work like new. The cook top may need a little cleaning, if you desire. I dripped paint on one of the burners and the pans have stains that I never tried to clean. I figured it would be easier and buy new ones because they are very inexpensive. I always wanted to replace the burners and pans, but they work fine and I had placed a teapot and a large bottle of cooking wine on two of the burners to cover them. However, this cook top works great and all the buttons and lights work like new. I really hate parting with them, but I am finally redoing the whole unit and they finally have to go. Here are a couple of pictures... again, I have not cleaned them and I have stainless steel cleaner somewhere here but everything is boxed up for the rehab. A cleaning and they will look fab!

Thanks,
Anthony

We had a cooktop exactly like that one in the house we had in Memphis, only it was avacado color. The house was built in 1969.
So that dates that. The oven looks earlier than a GE P7. I would say we are looking at some late, late 50's of mid 60's appliances.

That oven is circa 1959-61

I have BH&G's from those years that show that oven(in colors) and they do predate the P-7 ovens which came out at the end of 1963. PAT COFFEY
