We had a 199* Hoover Ecologic Round Door 800. Funny machine, sometimes it span with a drum full of sudsy water. Died of PCB failure in 2004. Replaced by the Bosch. I remember watching my Nana's Hotpoint WM41 and my gran's Hoover Ecologic Square Door flood a kitchen. Ooops!

evening!! here are my childhood washers!! born in 73 hotpoint twin tub given away to dads workmates wife!! 1977 hotpoint liberator with purple door and 4 buttons!! this lasted 7 years chased me across kitchen once!! was replaced in 1984 by hoover electron 800 a3264 from rumbelows round door job with dark green and gold trim!! very reliable machine as it lasted 11 years with just a new motor,door boot and soap drawer to drum rubber to its credit! replaced by tricity bendix caw 1000 this managed 9 years parts started going wrong on it very late in its life door lock water manifold and finally drum bearings saw it off!! replaced by hotpoint wf440p this lasted 7 years 2004 to 2011 when drum bearings went!1 replaced with zanussi zwg 6165
 
think ours was a friday aafternoon job!! dad got a blood blister because of it in its dying days!! think it was a vitreos enamel drum job door always reminds me of those portal windows that you used to see in american custom vans and some british vans too!
