Hi Paul, glad you won the slimstar, it looks in such good condition. have you run it yet.

Hi Darren loving the new look, how's the wff2000 going?

Rich

congratulations

Congratulations, looks to have been well cared for.Lots of action with spin drains and a 1000rpm spin speed.Strange beasts though,as they will only go into spin if full of water with pressure switch made. They were realy quite a bullet proof machine as they have a hefty induction motor with clutch and a plastic tub, so no rust problems.Great score,Regards Nige.

It's such a shame philips like many aren't around in the modern day as they'd be kickin out some cracking stuff I think!

The spin-drain is awesome! Shame you won't get the visual of it being a TL but at least you will get the experience. I'm sure it aided rinsing too!

Rich: Thaaanks. Bit of a drastic change but I do like it :-) The WFF2000 is sat next to my Zanussi in my ex's garage atm whilst my LG is sat in her kitchen. Hmpf.

I'm going to try and get those shortly i'm moving house with my folks this week. Hope ur well.

Darren

Hi Guys, I have spoken to Paul and he is having afew problems with his Sinclair Spectrum and can't logon to Autowasher at the mo to add more pic's. Hopefully the problem will be fixed soon and we will get to see more gorgeous photo's of his latest addition. Over and out.

How do guys.

Apologies for the tease and then silence, but i have regular issues with my computer and signing into discuss o mat.
Will try logging in, but the computer just acts as if I am not signed in. Then, all of a sudden, i can enter the site to find i am signed in! weird.

Anyways - the slimstar!

Cleaned up really nicely - some piccies from the angle i saw it as a child, installed sideways under a removable worktop extention at my grandmas house.
The facia ran up the right hand side of the machine and the blue lid handle was against the side of the sink unit.

hough it from the angle below, the front of the machine was against the side of the sink, so couldnt be viewed...

Until two months ago, when I was discussing the Slimstar with Richard, I always thought this was the door release button...

in fact this is probably the more realistic view i had of the machine, though i did see the facia on the occasions that it had just been used - nvere saw it in action though...

Date code 647!

47th week of 1976.

Hadnt realised that these were made in Britain - I always assumed it would have been built on the continent...

Will post some pics of the facia later on.

If anyone has some other photos of the different versions of Slimstar, or any other Philips machines, please feel free to post some.
