Years ago I was able to buy a Soap called "Citrus". The box was yellow, I think the word "Citrus" was in red, and there was a blue ribbon with white letters that said "Soap Flakes". I used to get it at "Lucky's"... haha. The box it self was the size of a cereal box. I can't find this ANYWHERE, nor can I find anything online about it as well. Is there anyone that can tell me anything about this Soap? I worked VERY well and smelled nice.

I know Citrus was made by a company called Pacific Soap, which also made a pretty good bargain detergent by the name of Vogue. If I recall from my younger days, the box claimed it was the "perfect detergent with extra cleaning power." I remember seeing Citrus next to the Ivory Snow and White King Soap in the laundry section.
I don't know what happened to Pacific Soap.

Pacific Soap Company

I also remember regularly seeing the Citrus Soap and Vogue detergent brands in the laundry aisle in the supermarket, in the days when there was a good deal more on the shelves to choose from.

Here is an article from the Los Angeles Times, from 1987, that discusses what happened to the Pacific Soap Company (located in San Diego), and also the Los Angeles Soap Company (original manufacturer of White King brand products).

Mystery Solved

And now I know...the rest of the story. Thanks for the link, Spiralator!
Rather ironic considering the fate of both Colgate and Unilever's US detergent operations, and the growth of Church & Dwight (Xtra; Arm & Hammer) and Henkel (Purex). Not to mention P&G, of course!
