That Hoover Electronic

It's in mint condition too, very nice. I love to see all those solid tub Creda spinners. And John's sprinkler Creda, did he put tape or something over the center exit slots?? Thanks for all those great pics Mike!

You really could tell you all had lots of fun. There was so much to look at and do!
That brunch looks like it was held in your conservatory. What a nice tea that was. Those sandwiches looked perfect!

Silver Service

Hi Terry

Bob & Neil run a catering / cafe business so nothing short of silver platters when we go there, we dont eat like that all the time though...LOl we do slum it with cow pie, pasties, fish & chips etc...heres our leaving meal of Chilli with Johns home made deep fried chips ( beef dripping of course) and steamed freshly picked runner beans!!!

Boil Washing

Oh Mickey, you love these weshers!!! that 3kw heater has steam wafting everywhere, & John loves hot boil washes!!! Best TwinTub - no Contest, Servis Supertwins - (lights blue touchpaper!!!) but Hoovermatics for plenty of splashdrama!!

The Servis powerglide is a lovely little machine, a deviation from their large agi Servis machines designed to fill a gap for smaller kitchen machines ...BUT the wash action is like on steroids to watch!!!

Heres The Best!!!

Hoover ...Who Better!!!

Hi Greg, the orange Hoovermatic is the one similar to your yellow model, this one has the proverbial interlock, which is a bit of a pain for us collectors wanting to see the action!!!, me personally the controls are small & fiddly, not good for big hands!!! again, Hoover with their commercial colour Pallete had great variations & themes of colour!!! do you still have yours??

Hi Brad, we`ll honour the Speed Queen twinnys next time, am going to do an All Servis wash-in, show them how to wash properly etc..that`ll have them running for the hills!!!LOL

Hi Al, yes isnt that powerglide a bit of a beasty, keep up the good work, I see those subliminal messages are finally working ...LOl
"Servis, ,Sold On Superiority Throughout The World" pity we cant say it now!!!

Fido`s Butt...

Lol, Hi Steve, trust you to spot that!!! its one of those wall mounted Tea Towel Holders, you stick your cloth in it!!! poodle dog clock can be seen on the windowledge!!

Actually its probably the last time you`ll see that kitchen, the boys hate it and are undergoing an open transformation now!!! its gonna look stunning (BTW, have seen far worse kitchens than the present one...but hey!!!)

Hoover Electronic...

Hi Eddy, its a fab machine, and in great nic, this was Hoover`s first faster spinning machine, produced in 1978, although it was the one that did have bearing & spilt drum issues, from the 60`s through to 1978 they had always been up to 800rpm...now look, 1600 the norm!!! have you come across many of these in Canada??

Looks like a great time was had by all! Shame I couldn't make it :-( - am craving to use a Hoovermatic again!

The food looks just as good - I think I've just managed to lose my last carrot cake off my waistline from last time!

Take care all,

Jon

A Giant Spaceship Was Seen.....Ready to Take over WasherKind

String theory: if those strings of water shooting straight up are not proof of aliens working among us, I don't know what is! That shot is fantastic, Mike. I love it. This is as much fun as the Spiral Dasher, another alien desing ;'D

Imagine putting your hand under the bottom roller in the Powerglide and feeling the underbelly of the beast. WOOOOO.... Katu, Virada Nickto. "Such power exists?!"

Mike:

When I was working the Atlantic I would get to LGW & AMS quite often. But for the past few years I have been working domestic U.S. only. I am retiring in 9 days, so I haven't had much time left. But when I retire, I still have my pass privileges, so who knows, I may turn up there sometime.

I love the UK. I always enjoyed my time there.

Hey Mike,

Can't wait to see the Hotpoint Twinnies up and running..are they two supermatic's ?? or 1420 or Twin six...?

Those darn micro switches are a nightmare, and so i am told were the main reason for soo many 1400's being chucked away. I had to replace mine not long after i first got it..I managed to pick up a decent box full of spares from a shop that was closing down in Southampton, and even some spare hoses..like the pump-to-tub, where it passes through the wash tub and connects to the filter clean nozzle.

Hope the machines are all off to a safe new home or storage, Jack did mention that you were moving soon..good luck !!

I am just waiting to hear back from a museum in West Sussex, where they maybe letting set up a kitchen display, featuring about vintage 10 washers.

Can't wait to see the Burco 21 when you get it done..fab machines !!

Cheers
Keith
