1970s Kitchen

Bit like cooking in a sauna, but that's 1970s loveliness for you - oven hob and hood not included - maybe they plan to put 40 year old appliances in their new kitchen. The units look a bit like Hygena QA so not particularly good quality

1960s Eastham kitchen

The fridge is certainly very rare but the plastic moulding in at least one of the cabinets is unusual too, it is not the inside of the fridge

Kenwood Chefette

Just the think for you 1970s green and pine panelled kitchen. This is just a regular chefette branded for Boots - I have one that's a similar colour but that was branded for Timothy Whites - another name from the past. Its not cheap but apparently NIB

never see any here anymore either. Most were branded Admiral, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Montgomery Ward, and long gone to the crushers.

Hoover & Miele

I suppose this should strictly go over on vacuumland but I thought it might be of interest too. The Hoover polisher would date from about the first half of the 1960s, most often they were sold with a tank for shampoo and the like. The models from the 1950s (polishers only) had a headlight.

The Miele is a rarity. Firstly this combo of polisher and vacuum is very unusual in the UK, I believe they are more popular in mainland Europe. That's not to say they were not sold here and Hoover even had a model in the mid 1960s, but they are not common. That it is a Miele is even rarer - although very common place now (and they have been for about the last 15 years) its very unusual to find a Miele cleaner of any kind from before 1980 and even up to 1990 they are not common.

some American ranges in 1960 had not been updated yet either. Norge, Magic Chef even.

I have never seen that Miele floorpolisher before. I didn't even know Miele ever had one, never saw one in an old brochure or an old ad. Perhaps it's a relabeled one?
