I get a lot of refrigerators through the shop that have been dead for a while, and have moldy or discolored gaskets. Anyone have a magic formula for cleaning them? Right now I use 409,and a scratch pad,but the results sometimes aren't the best.TIA

I usually don't work too hard at the mold stains. I have used a bleach soaked rag on them but it us very time consuming. You could remove the gasket and soak in water and bleach if the gasket doesn't have holes that he solution can get inside it. It would be difficult to completely dry it out if the solution got inside. Ajax with bleach cleanser works but is also very time consuming. I guess I don't have a magic solution either. Replacing the gasket may be the only real solution.
