Normally I wouldn't do this but my partner's son (he is a rabbi in Minneapolis)was speaking out at the state capital Lobby Day and I thought I would share it with all of you. I am very proud of him!!! Wow!

I have to disagree with that, my partner’s son Jared is gay and very open about it. He is very positive in supporting GLBT issues. And if he really feels strongly about an issue he doesn’t hesitate to get involved with it. I guess I have to say that we are lucky to have a gay son in the family, as he faces the same issues as we do.

Doug,

I think you got me wrong? Without knowing or caring about his sexuality, after listening to him, it was obvious that he has compassion. And that goes hand in hand with brains and heart.
Sorry if I wasn't clear.
Being over here in Germany, I am not quite clear on what it's all about - what are they advocating?

Doug,

What a great message, and it did my heart good to see the banner that was being held up next to him on the platform. My denomination, the United Methodist Church, was also there showing our support as well.

I beleive change is coming, it may be slow but it is coming. Some denominations may never make it, but that will be there loss. At least there will be places that are safe, loving and caring that will tell the true Christian story to all.

Thanks again for sharing!

Morgan
