This ad for Clorex Bleach was back in the 1950s. Clorex used a character named "Butch" to push their product in the old brown glass bottles.

GRRR!

Not enough coffee in my system yet. I re-read the post and noticed the name of the bottle. My apologies.

I'm going to switch to Columbian coffee after I finish this can of regular. ;)

A little off topic, but the first time we went to New Orleans we saw a drag queen name Clorox Bleachman, she was funny as hell and quite entertaining. A couple of years ago I googled her name and found an article when Clorox threatened to sue her if she didn't change her name because of copyright laws, kind of petty if you ask me.

Ms. Bleachman Becomes "Klorocks"

After some 23 years as Clorox Bleachman, the New Orleans diva has altered his stage name to Klorocks Bleachman. This earth shattering change was brought about after Ambush was contacted by The Clorox Company.

According to Kasimira C. Verdi, Legal Department, The Clorox Company, "It has come to our attention that you are using your internet website to publish a magazine entitled 'Showgirls XXXpress', and that this magazine contains several references to 'Clorox' and 'Clorox Bleachman'.

"The Clorox Company is the owner of the famous trademark CLOROX for bleach, cleaning products, and internet information related thereto. Your use of 'Clorox' on your website will dilute, damage and disparage our trademark rights.

"We ask that you immediately cease and desist from use of the word 'Clorox' on your website and that you send us notification that you have done so."
