Price Point

How do these compare price wise to the Tide versions. Tide's are very expensive. Almost as if you paid someone to go through your laundry and pretreat your stains for you, LOL.

It is just more of P & G gimmick

They have a big stake in Clorox and are useing it in the Pro LIne products line for commerical laundries. And have P & G on the Clorox pail.

What I've Never Understood...

...About pre-measured packets is how they're supposed to work well with such a broad assortment of washers out there. How is the same amount supposed to be "correct" for my centre-dial Maytag and a front-loader?

It has always seemed to me that some machines will get too little of the product, others too much, and a few just the right amount with this approach.

P.S.: You also give up load-size flexibility this way - or you have to open packets and measure some out for small loads, which rather seems to defeat the convenience factor.

I have tried the Tide packs here

ANd they WILL not melt in cold water well. They were very expensive but did do a good job. they should for the price. When i pay that much I want dinner and a movie!

I just bought that Clorox pac in the 32 load size. Cost at WalMart was $9.00 and it had a $2.00 off coupon on it. I opened it up...and all it is is regular Clorox 2 incased in a premeasured pac. Thats all it is. Not like Tide Stain release. Maddening to say the least.

Mike thanks for letting me know

I will not bother with it I have not ever had very good luck with clorox 2 in the machines here

My thing is......

If TIDE in any formulation, liquid, powder, he, whatever, is so great at getting stains out, why would you need Tide Pretreater? The very few times I've pre-treated, I just used whatever good quality liquid laundry detergent I had at the time and the stain came out.

I'm NOT a Tide fan, but I have to admit that the "booster" product that they sell did indeed get some old stains out of my floormats. Only time I've ever need something really heavy duty...of course, you only get about 5 uses out of the bottle. The bottle is cool looking, so I'll keep it on the shelf.
