Lukewarm air comes out of exhaust duct outside of house when using auto dry. Intermittently, clothes do not dry.

Lint screen, internal ducts, and exhaust duct are clear.
Power on (light inside drum turns on)
Timer always advances, buzzer buzzes twice.
Drum turns
Drum belt is like new and properly aligned with motor, pulley, and drum
Through peep hole, I see ignitor glow, then flame starts.
Flame persists during drying cycle.
I do NOT use fabric softener.

On reassessment using one large towel for a 40 minute timed dry, the towel is dryer, but not completely dry, or warm (as back up dryer dried the towel).

Yep.  My Kenmore did that too.  Eventually got to where it didn't heat at all.

The valve stays put, only change the coil. Don't have to mess with any gas fittings, that's a mercy.

first of all, most sensor dryers WONT feel and sense one or a few items on AUTO dry....

machines with sensors in the venting are a bit better when it comes to drying small loads effectively on AUTO....

if a load isn't dry from the NORMAL * setting....try moving the selector towards the MORE dry area....

I always found one notch towards the more dry was the perfect setting for every load...

your mileage may vary....

Thanks.

Does mixing clothe sizes in the dryer, eg large towel and panties, result in auto-dry making the towel overly dry and panties under-dry?

I'm getting a Speed Queen gas dryer, ADG3SRGS113TW01. Does anyone know where the moisture sensor is, eg venting area?

And I wait for a nice day, hang everything on the clothesline and most just dry fine. Auto Dry on my old Maytag on less dry when I cant use a clothesline dries a load perfect, but prefer the nice outdoor smell with a clothesline, take them off and put them away. Not remembering to empty a dryer full of wrinkled crap a few days later. My old 80 series Kenmore gas dryer seemed like it would run forever and still clothes were not drying, culprit was a pinched gas line.
