We went to visit relatives in MN when I was about nine years old and one of my aunts had just built a brand new home with a Corning range in the kitchen. After only a few months in the new house she had run out of negative adjectives to describe how she felt about that range. A couple of years later when we visited again, the Corning range was gone and replaced with a TOL GM Frigidaire coil-top.
