Coffee, Coffee, and More Coffee

Had some Vietnamese iced coffee with dinner--followed by a double shot of Starbucks espresso with and equal amount of half and half and a packet of Sugar in the Raw after dinner--hence i am here posting this now.
I was just so tired before dinner and wanted a pick me up, knowing i would pay the price latter.

Thanks for posting! It was an interesting video that covered a range of brewing methods including the less commonly seen Turkish and siphon methods.

I'm firmly entrenched in Keurig land for now. Brewing using the strong setting at 6 or 8 ozs. provides a decent cup of drip coffee. I love having 20+ different brands/varieties of coffee and tea on hand. Upside: Convenience and variety; freshly-brewed glasses of iced tea on demand. Downside: Resulting brew is only average.

Were I to switch back to an espresso machine, I'd get a Rancilio Silvia ($700), often touted as the best single-boiler machine for under a grand, and a Eureka Mignon Instantaneo Grinder ($460).

Had a Technivorm Moccamaster drip machine prior to the Keurig (best drip coffee hands down) but have decided if/when I exit Keurig world, it will be back to espresso.[this post was last edited: 8/27/2016-06:30]

Coffee hurts my kidneys very badly and its not fun.. Sad too cause i love flavored coffee

I currently use a French press the most but some of the best coffee I've made was the old fashioned boil - in - the - pot - on - a - campfire (or my gas stove) method: boil the grounds in the water for 4-5 minutes and add some cold water to settle them. Really good coffee.

BTW - there is a time and a place for Decaf: Never and in the trash
