Hello gang...just been added to your list.....my question is does anyone remember "Cold Power" the powder detergent from the 70's used during the energy crisis to conserve hot water by washing entirely in cold water? tide has a formula out now but not the same...remember CHEER all temperature?

Ah, the good old days. The powders never fully disolved in cold water very well, but it's fun to think of detergents long gone. Welcome!

Welcome aboard. Yes I do remember Cold Power. I just thought is was an okay detergent for cold water washing.

BTW: I am from New Jersey also. Where are you located?

Take care

Welcome To The Group!

I remember Cold Power, I don't think we ever used it that I can remember, but a friend of ours used it all the time. I also remember All Temperature Cheer. When I used powered detergents and cold water, I would put the detergent in a quart jar add hot water, put the lid on and shake it up and pour it into the cold water. My mom's favorite detergent was Breeze, I think she bought it for the free towels.

I used Cold Power in the mid 80's when I was in college! It was a bargain down at the Ben Franklin store. I always liked it.
