What manufactures made combos and are there any that are rare?

Reason being... There is one sitting in a basement of a friend of mine, but I haven't seen it yet. I don't need it, but someone here might want it. They are going to take a picture with their phone and send it after bit.

There are also some other automatics, but again, I don't know to much yet.

Their getting ready to auction off a ton of stuff this weekend, but none of the washers.

There are some ringers there too.

Hey Beth-Ann,
There were a few manufacturers of the combination machines.
First that comes to mind is Bendix/Philco (the 'Duo-Matic'); But Westinghouse, Maytag, and GE also made them. There could be others and I am sure you'll be hearing from other folks on the board.
Do keep us posted about what will be happening to the washers! And if there happens to be a pink Maytag washer or a turquoise GE Filter-Flo.... lol

Maybe the washing machine on legs minus wringer is
an Easy Spin Dryer or other such style twin tub.
Would you please drive the combo out here (not the combo itself;but in the bed of your pickup!) for me? I'll
have veg fix you guys breakfast ,lunch and dinner!!!

Kenmore had a W/D too

for a short while, not sure who made it. Grandmother had one and loved it.

Well

The combo that he was talking about looks like a Hoover twin tub to me. His Grandpa said it washed and dried. LOL!
I think I'm going to take a drive out there tomorrow and see what is behind the barn. I'll keep ya posted.

Whirlpool

made one as well, they just never really caught on. My Mom had a Philco washer dryer when I was a kid, it had a tilt down trap door on the bottom where the lint filter was. I remember a lady came to the house to demonstrate it when it was new. Can you imagine? But shortly after she bought a Fridigaire dryer to go with it, she said it took too long to do it all in one machine.
