Why is it with Comfort Pure, not sure if its the case with all comfort conditioners. That a foamy slushy residue appears at the end of the wash in the door seal and on the door? I've washed some dark things and when the clothes have been dried I have noticed some white marks on some things. I'm currently using Fairy Non Bio with Comfort Pure at the moment. Is it the surfactants? I really like the smell of Comfort Pure, I just wish they would change the formula so that I dont get a residue left over at the end of the wash. This isn't the case with Lenor Conditioner, as its of quite a watery consistency.

PURE

i think it is just pure softners my aunts beko broke so she brought her washing to my place and she had tesco pure and that left a soap scum like residue on my door bowl

I use comfort pure and don't have that problem, although I have to say if I am using comfort I have to use a Unilever detergent. I know it may seem strange but I just couldn't, for example, use Ariel and Comfort....just doesn't seem right to me!

Do you find the Fairy difficult to rinse out? When I used P&G products ( I try and avoid them now where possible ) I found them terribly difficult to rinse out in our soft water and that was with 60ml of powder, my machine would often sudslock and add extra rinses which drove me mad!

Fairy

I dont find it that bad, though there are bubbles at the end of the wash in the door seal, If I'm using conditioner, then the bubbles are eliminated. I love the smell though :). My aunty uses Daz and Comfort Blue Skies.

If I am using Comfort I tend to stick to Comfort Pure, the heavy perfume in some of the other variants in the Comfort range bring me our in a rash, well actually it looks more like I have been stung by nettles.

If you are a fan of Fairy the liquitabs are half price in Sainsbury's just now, as is the 85 wash bottle of Persil Small & Mighty. Asda have Persil non Bio Tablets/Small and Mighty and capsules all for 3 packs for £10, you can also mix and match....I've been stocking up!!!

Paul - interesting you say that about the scented Comforts, the recent so called improved fragrances bring me in a wash too... I tend to mainly use Comfort Pure nowadays (along with Perisl non bio; I'm scarily turning into my mother...), and have to say to get back on the subject that I have no issues with it whatsoever.

Perhaps the residue you describe Kyle is from the Fairy washing powder?  Like Paul I've always found that has a tendency to overfoam... :)

Pure

Never had a problem with it before, thats because I generally use it with Persil. At Sainsbury's today they had an 85wash bottle of Comfort so I got a Blue Skies one.

BTW, isn't this your FJS1225W pic Kyle?

Fairy washing powder

I have just started on a couple of boxes of this because recently it was on special offer at Sainsburys and was cheaper than their own brand. I am finding it a bit of a nightmare when it comes to rinsing so once it's finished I will avoid it. I find Sainsburys powders excellent at rinsing clear and unlike many others, find the Ariel Excel Gels also brilliant at rinsing. As Ariel was on £2.00 at Wilko recently I have a stash to use.
