Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Aha,

That's a plausible explanation. My fantasy was already working, ranging from auxiliary heaters to extra powerful wake-up lights...

My range hoods (2) both have CFL's and I've not had any problem with them overheating, let alone breaking. They are both shielded by plastic light diffusers.

I've been using CFL's since the times when they had magnetic ballasts in the 80's. I've never had one break its glass in use. The only times one has broken when I've dropped it handling it outside the fixture. When they fail, it's usually the electronics. I have a number of the FEIT 75 watt equiv daylight CFL's in enclosed fixtures... no problems... and the light is bright and white with excellent color rendition.

Just saw this text...

According to this shop, many types of incandescent lamps will be unavailable after September.

Translated text on picture: "Buy your incandescent lamps now. They will soon be unavailable."

I`ve never cared much for cfl`s

I love preheat all the way - All my fluorescent light fixtures are from the early 1940`s

I collect early fluorescent lights too!!!

It came from the factory this way - Certain places on the fixture were badly scratched up bad so it had to be touched up - I was trying to avoid having it striped down.
