Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

LOL, yeah, that's why I stopped downloading programs from P2P sites back when you were still in preschool ;) WAY too many viruses out there anymore to take the risk!

I use Norton Anti-Virus and the latest version of Adaware. I haven't had any problems in about three years.
I used Kasperski for a year and I recommended it to a few friends. They thought it sent out too many alert messages that they didn't understand what it was trying to tell them. Personally, I think it's great for people who are really computer literate.

Keep in mind that reformatting a hardrive isn't always a foolproof way to destroy a virus. I use a DOD (Department of defense) formatting software called Wipedrive if there's ever a virus that I can't eliminate.

I have had a few rogue Antivirus' and a slightly bad trojan horse, but that is it. I rely on Norton 360. It is simply the best in my oppinion.

PC safety

There is another way to build up a second defense is to buy yourself a router, even though you may have only one PC and turn on your PC firewall.
The Router is used to confuse other PC's from seeing your IP Address.

I've been a fan of "Call for Help" and the " The Sreensavers" back in the mid 1990's well before TechTV which is now G4 that sucks more than rotten lemons.
That station made my computing life very easy with so much knowledge that a 15 year old could build his or her own PC.
Anyway, Leo Leporte is still around doing Podcast and Patrick Norton is doing web TV :http://revision3.com/tekzilla/about

Just take a few tips and share it.
