Decided to give up my virginity and come to my first convention. I'm sure it won't be painful at all. LOL

Looks like I will try to get into the Hampton Inn or Commfort Inn, as I am told most are staying there.

As I am trying to avoid a rental car (damn Omaha is expensive from NYC.) Can I split a cab from the hotel to the event with anyone? or may I "depend upon the kindness of strangers" and hitch with someone who is renting a car? [Gas $, no prob]

BTW do we get ID tags, or should I just look for the rainbows? LOL

How long do you think it would take me to travel those 1440 miles on my Vespa, taking into account that I weigh 375 pounds on a light day, tires at max pressure, and I'll be wearing coordinating Spandex neck to toe to lower wind resistance, scarf optional. I figure with the wind at my back up the mountains and clear sailing on the eastward slopes it might take 2 weeks...in which case I'll be happy to drive you from the hotel Steve....ROFLMAO

A question came up today about the Saturday night dinner so I thought I should elaborate a little on the arrangements we've made so far...

The dinner selections on the sign-up form include your meal, tax, server gratuity and coffee/tea if desired. There will be a cash bar. After dinner, we return to my house where we'll have deserts and the final big wash-in for the weekend. The t-shirts will be a custom embroidery design by Jon Charles on cotton tees, delivered at the convention. Please remember to include the price of the t-shirt and size when you send in the form so we can place the order in time for Jon to get them made.
